ONTRACK Launches New HIV/AIDS Website
February 2007, ONTRACK and California Department of Public Health--Office of AIDS executed an agreement confirming the contract award announcement made in December 2006. The African American HIV Prevention Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Project is under way with the hire of Mr. Jamal Bey as Program Manager.

Brimming with pertinent information on HIV/AIDS prevention, this beautifully designed site includes a service directory, breaking news, and even an animated cartoon series entititled Living With It that presents HIV/AIDS information in a consumer-friendly format. Information on regional HIV/AIDS prevention trainings, and an application for customized on-site training is also available. Program Support Intersects Domestic Violence, Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment Services In July 2006, ONTRACK started a new training and technical assistance program on behalf of the California Department of Health Services. ONTRACK, in conjunction with the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence and Marin Abused Women's Services, will be offering cost-free, tailored consultation, technical assistance and training to California's 94 domestic violence shelter agencies. This assistance focuses on improving access to services and treatment for women with substance abuse, mental illness and domestic violence issues. For the first six months, ONTRACK and its partner organizations will be conducting a needs assessment to better understand the specific concerns each region and individual agency is facing. ONTRACK is excited to be a part of California's commitment to end domestic violence in our state.
